Manchester United fans aired a new chant for caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the 3-0 win at Fulham on Saturday.
United won 3-0 thanks to a Paul Pogba double either side of a brilliant Anthony Martial goal to take Solskjaer’s run to ten wins and a draw from 11 games in charge.
Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December, and United fans have wasted no time in singing their appreciation for the former player who has revitalised their season.
The catchy ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ chant is now regularly heard at Old Trafford and in United away ends, but supporters at Fulham recycled another chant that was previously used to hail Mourinho.
Heard towards the end of the 3-0 win at Craven Cottage, United fans began singing that ‘Ole’s got us playing the way that United should.’
The chant was often heard during Mourinho’s first two seasons at United, but less so this season as he left United in sixth position.
So you can join in next time, here are the new lyrics:
Woke up this morning feeling fine,
Got Man Utd on my mind,
Ole’s got us playing the way United should,
Something tells me I’m into something good.
The win at Fulham took United into the top four since the opening day of the season, making it an appropriate time to proclaim that something good is indeed happening at Old Trafford.
