Liverpool could be without their Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino for Tuesday’s crunch Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
The Brazilian forward missed training on Monday with a virus, it has been confirmed.
Dejan Lovren also missed the Reds’ latest training session.
The news of Firmino’s virus comes as a blow to Liverpool, who are already without the suspended Virgil van Dijk.
Firmino, who has scored 11 goals in 31 games this season, has faced Bayern Munich in eight competitive matches during his career and has established his status as one of the Reds’ most important players under Jurgen Klopp.
James Pearce broke the news about Firmino’s virus on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
However, Merseyside football reporter Richard Buxton understands Liverpool are still hopeful both Firmino and Lovren will be involved against Bayern on Tuesday.
